Fixed value off an individual product

This type of discount is useful if you have too many of a particular item and you want to make room for something else, or if the next version in the brand range is coming out soon and you want to see out this version before it loses value.

Go ahead and enter the NameCodeDiscount Type, and a Value for this discount. In this example we are running a Money off fixed value discount. Limiting this kind of discount is useful if you only have a certain amount of this item and you don’t want to order more once it has sold out. Find out what the stock value of the product you want to set a discount for is, and then set the Limit to that number.

Uncheck the Applies to all products box.

Set the Products must match button to All Rules. This section doesn’t really matter since we’re only going to be creating one rule so either All Rules or Any Rules would apply here. In the Include section click on Add Rule, select Single Product in the Products matching dropdown, and then begin typing your product in the text box. When your product shows up in the text box click on it to set it into the rule. There isn’t any need to create Exclude rules here since everything that doesn’t match the single product we just chose will be excluded automatically.

In the Visibility section set Active in shop to checked.

The Date range you set here completely depends on your intentions for this promotion. Since we’ve set a limit for this discount it makes sense to set the start date as the same day you intend to tell your customers about the promotion. If the purpose of this discount is to get rid of some stock at a discounted price then it makes sense to have No end date set to checked.
