How to see new orders appear instantly with optional audio notifications

    Depending on your type of business, you may wish to see new customer orders appear in real time and perhaps with loud audio notifications to alert your staff to new orders. Food and beverage businesses operating in a noisy kitchen or retail environment may benefit from this feature.

    To activate this functionality, go to Settings > Manage Your Site Settings. Scroll down to find the "Automatically Refresh Order Index" setting. Activate this setting by changing the option to "Yes" then clicking "Save".

    With this setting active, when viewing the main Orders screen in your admin system, new orders will appear in real time as customers complete checkout. Turn on audio notifications to be alerted when new orders appear.
