What is Klarna?

We’re excited to announce we have partnered with Klarna to bring your customers new ways to pay at checkout. It’s a safe and simple way to help your buyers get the stuff they want, when they want it.

Klarna offers flexible payment options at the time of checkout. Let your customers choose to pay in instalments so you can spread the costs over time.

To add Klarna payments to your site you will first need an account with Klarna.

How do I sign up to Klarna?

To sign up with Klarna, head to https://www.klarna.com/uk/business/ and click Get Started:

Decide on a product

Decide which Klarna product you want to connect to your store.

Get live credentials

Go through Klarna sign-up to create a merchant account, input your business details, and download live credentials.

Connect platform

In your merchant account, copy your credentials to paste into the Klarna payments set up area in Shopblocks.

To install Klarna as a payment method on your checkout, head to Settings > Payment Methods:

Once in the payment methods area, click "Klarna Payments" and enter your API details you copied in the previous step.

These are listed as your username and password.

Once you have entered these details correctly, return to the top of the page and set the payment method to "Active" and "Visible" to enable Klarna on your live website.

This will turn on Klarna products on your website and your customers will be able to start transacting via Klarna payments.
