Keep your customers up to date with what’s happening in your shop.
This section is split into two pages. The first page is the home page where you can quickly see all of your blog posts in the grid. The second page is the edit page where you can view each blog post in more detail and make any changes you need to.
Blog Posts Grid
The grid is where you can see, at a glance, all the blog posts you currently have written. The name of each blog post is listed, along with when it was last updated, the author, and it’s status.
The name field is where you can set or amend the name of this blog post. This is also the title of your blog post and can be seen by your customers.
Here you can enter the content for this blog post, and you can edit how the text looks inside this field. You don’t have to worry about setting any colours here since all that is covered by your BlockLab settings. This box contains a spell checker, so you can directly write your blog posts into here if you want to.
Search Engine Listing
The Search Engine Listing section is a preview of how your blog post will be displayed on search engines such as Google and Bing, the title and URL fields will be automatically filled in.
For the description field write a very short paragraph (less than 200 characters) quickly explaining what this post it about. It’s usually best to fill out this field once you’ve completed writing your blog post, that way you’ll have a clearer understand of what your post is about. Check out our SEO guidelines for more details.
The visibility of each blog post can be changed within the Visibility section. Once a blog post has been published then it is viewable by your customers on your shop. If a customer tries to view a blog post that is not published then they will see a message telling them that the page has not been found.
Blog Page Image
You can add a featured image to each post by using the Open Image Library button.
