How to use Strings to change default messaging around your website

What are Strings?

You can use Strings to change default text labels used throughout your website. Our Strings tool gives you the ability to quickly find strings of text used around your website and override them to messaging of your choosing.

Want to change the word "Delivery" to "Shipping"? No problem. Strings has this covered.

Where to find Strings

Strings is in the Content section of your admin system. Click Content, then scroll down to locate the Strings area. Click Update strings to access:

How to edit your custom text strings

When you arrive in the Strings area you will be presented with a selection of commonly edited text strings under the Custom Strings heading:

Under Your custom strings you will see three columns: ID, Text and Delete.

ID: This column shows the default text label used by the system.

Text: This column shows the text you want to display on the system instead of the default text label.

Delete: Clicking the red Delete button will return the text label to the system default.

To edit any of these strings, simply edit the text in the Text field, and then press Save in the top right corner of the page.

Searching the strings dictionary

If the text string you are looking to edit isn't one of the pre-selected common strings, then you can use the strings dictionary to search for more strings in the admin system.

Scroll down below the Custom Strings area and you will see the Default Strings Dictionary area, with a search bar. Type the text string you are looking to edit in the search bar and the system will filter by ID and Text to refine your results:
